JOURNEY OF A CLIENT

Reclaiming my life with balanced proper nutrition and exercise
Testimonial from client
"Over the past 18 months, I’ve reflected numerous times on my fitness and health journey that began in March of 2023 when I met personal trainer Dolores Everett.

I ask myself, why are we so hard on ourselves and why do we give up so easily when progress is not happening fast? There were plenty of times when I was ready to throw in the towel and say, “I quit”!

But, I knew this time was different. I had more tools than ever to reach my goals and I could feel and see my efforts making positive changes for life. With the help and encouragement from Dolores I have finally reached the milestone of losing 60 lbs. and over 46 inches total body all while gaining more physical strength and muscle mass than I ever have at age 55. Dolores has been a true inspiration with her kindness and caring heart!. My diet has changed drastically after attending one of her PFC3 coaching sessions. Afterward, I decided to eat mostly plant-based, which has lowered my cholesterol and has allowed me to discontinue my high blood pressure medication after being on it for 15 years. I am so thankful for my trainer and look forward to achieving our next goals and being in the best shape of my life with Coach Dolores by my side. I highly recommend all the services that she has to offer."

My story of helping Diane Her journey

I remember meeting my client Diane in March of 2023. As we sat and chatted I could hear in her the struggles of most women in their 40’s to 60’s.
Life got in the way for her. She moved to a new state, the stress of her job was absorbing and draining her mentally and physically. Her boys had grown and moved out of the house. Her life was changing in more ways than one. I remember asking her what her goals were, her why for embarking on this health journey.. Her family had booked a trip of a lifetime on a cruise through Europe. It was so important to her to be able to enjoy this trip as a healthier version of herself. To be able to hike, walk and experience the trip with her family full of energy and not feel like she was holding them back. She wanted to be in the family pictures and not feel ashamed of her body. Her health was also wreaking havoc on her body as she was now on medication for blood pressure and her cholesterol had started to rise.
In our initial appointment we went over what she had tried in the past. Her story was very similar to many other women I have chatted with,
I have lost weight in the past,I used to be stronger, thinner, healthier, more energy, slept better, less stressed, confident
But I don’t know what happened. And I love that sentence
I don’t know what happened….

Life got in the way..!!!
chaos set in, changes, moves, stressors you go back to your old habits and behaviors because that is comfortable, you try many different “diets”, you are confused on what the media portrays as healthy.
As women we are so hard on ourselves and we give up so easily when progress is not happening fast. As women we seem to put ourselves last, we take care of everyone else's needs before our own. We need to start putting on our oxygen masks first. If we don’t take care of ourselves first we can’t help and take care of our families. We can’t be the best versions of us and who we truly are.
As our relationship of trainer to client started to form, I started sharing little bits of PFC3 and how eating balanced every 3 hours to help stabilize blood sugar and the importance of that for risk of developing metabolic disease. Eating balanced nutritious foods in the right combination at the right intervals to stabilize blood sugar. As a result your metabolism will rise and weight will be shed, in a healthier way.

She was all eager to try, as she had worked with a nutritionist before however unlike PFC3 there was no education around the behavioral piece. How was she going to change her habits and behaviors if no one was giving her the tools to realize her habits. Plus eating food to lose weight versus eating nutritious food for health benefits changes a person's mindset. Diane set out on her journey of 100 days of 1%. Taking one lesson at a time and building on each one. Being Consistent over time helped her realize her goals were not unattainable. She learned so much about herself.
She started to develop morning time and realized how important this was for mindset, reflecting, resetting and journaling daily to set her intentions and reflecting on her successes and opportunities.

Did she have ups and downs? Yes, We all do.
Did she plateau?
Yes and she learned to LDR…Learn, do and Revise learning what her body was telling her. Her body was speaking to her in a way she was finally understanding.
AND her why was so important to her, why would she give up on herself?

As her coach, her why was also so important to me

As her journey continued I started to see a new version of herself emerging. She was more vibrant, confident, energy shifted, she let go of past negative attachments to her job that was causing her stress, she was starting to find the true beautiful her. Her clothes were getting looser, her stress levels had lowered, her hives stopped showing up, she realized and changed behaviors and habits, she started to eat mostly plant based following PFC plant based guide and she was off all her medications. Her Physician was impressed by her progress. She shared with me things that normally would have bothered or stressed her, didn’t anymore. She can deal with life changes with more confidence and ease.

When our fitness center we trained at closed down, she didn’t give up, we pivoted, shifted and continued. In the past this might have derailed her.
Diane went on the trip of a lifetime as a new version of her! 50 pounds lighter, confident, more energized was able to keep up with her family and more.
She had all the tools on how to go on vacation without getting derailed. She didn’t allow food to be the center of attention but instead made her family and the beautiful places they visited priority.

She is her own Nutrition Boss and continues to become the best version of herself.
As her trainer and lifestyle coach I am truly proud of her.
As a trainer I can finally share a nutrition program in confidence knowing
It is science based,
I would share this with my own kids
It is sustainable for a lifetime.

Yours in health
